Blaster
Blaster
Appearing to be much like a crossbow, but lacking the stirrup and lath, and with a metal tube in the flight groove, this weapon is some sort of death ray weapon. It is a weapon from another world, or a remnant from an ancient civilization. An "attack" with the blaster is a 2d4+2 points of damage with a saving throw vs. wands to avoid.
A found blaster has 1d8 charges in it, and can be used by members of any class. A magic-user (or illusionist) can recharge the weapon by spending prepared spells, replacing one spent charge for every two "levels" of spell used. The blaster can hold a maximum of 10 charges.
